PPG’s Modern Equipment For Quality Testing
Popular Pipes Group has the most modern equipment for quality testing of pipes in its own laboratory; working 24 hours a day to ensure quality. To maintain & assure the quality, popular Pipes has their own most modern, sophisticated & very well equipped Pipe Testing Laboratory. This latest laboratory is for quality testing and research & development purposes. Popular UPVC Pipes are inspected on line & tested in calibrated laboratory by its trained QC Engineers for conformance to the specifications of standards as well as for valued customers. The test are regularly conducted in quality control laboratory as per PS-3051/91 Equivalent to BS-3505.
The following tests are conducted regularly in the laboratory for the conformance of BS-3505 & PS-305/91 per ASTM).
- Impact Resistance Test at 20oc
- Longitudinal Reversion at 150oc
- De lamination Resistance 150oc
- Long Term Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance Test At 20oc
- Long Term Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance Test At 60oc
- Short Term Hydrostatic Pressure Resistance Test At 20oc
- Specific Gravity Test (1.42-1.46)
- Superficial Appearance
- Fracture Toughness
- Opacity Test (0.2 % Max)
- Compression Test, Flattening Test (as per ASTM)
- Methylene Chloride Test (For Controlling Proper Gelation)
Laboratory Tests
